1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Steady Reader beta application and related support pages provided by Taylor Made SW LLC (“Taylor Made SW,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing, accessing, or using Steady Reader, you agree to these Terms and any applicable Apple beta-testing terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Limited license
Subject to these Terms, Taylor Made SW grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Steady Reader on Apple devices you own or control, solely for lawful personal use. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer, bypass security measures, interfere with the app, or use it to violate another person’s rights or applicable law, except where a restriction is prohibited by law.
3. Browsing and third-party content
Steady Reader provides access to websites and content controlled by third parties. We do not own, endorse, verify, or control that content. You are responsible for following the terms of the websites you visit. Reader mode is an automated convenience and may omit or display content differently from the original page; the original page remains authoritative.
4. Movement warning and prohibited unsafe use
Do not use Steady Reader while walking, running, riding, driving, operating machinery, crossing streets, or otherwise moving when screen use could distract you or create a risk to you or anyone else. Stop in a safe place before reading or interacting with the app. Motion-responsive features do not make distracted screen use safe. Do not rely on Steady Reader for medical treatment, emergency information, navigation, or any safety-critical task.
5. Assumption of risk and user responsibility
If you choose to use Steady Reader while moving despite these warnings, you knowingly and voluntarily assume the risks of distraction, collision, falling, loss of awareness, and other foreseeable or unforeseeable harm. You are solely responsible for your actions and decisions, for evaluating whether and where use is safe, and for any injury, death, property damage, loss, or harm that your conduct causes to you or another person.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that Taylor Made SW LLC and its members, employees, contractors, and licensors are not responsible or liable for claims, injuries, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from your decision to use the app while moving, your failure to follow these warnings, or your unsafe, unlawful, negligent, or intentional conduct. This provision does not waive any right or exclude any liability that cannot legally be waived or excluded.
6. Downloads, accounts, and device data
You are responsible for files you download, information you submit to websites, and activity performed through your accounts. Features such as bookmarks, History, downloads, preferences, and saved sessions may be stored locally on your device. Removing the app or clearing data may permanently remove those items.
7. Ownership
Steady Reader, its interface, and related Taylor Made SW materials are owned by Taylor Made SW LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Website content remains the property of its respective owners. Open-source components are provided under their own licenses, available from App Info in the app.
8. Updates and availability
Steady Reader is currently beta software and may contain incomplete features, defects, or unexpected behavior. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features. Websites may change in ways that affect browsing or Reader compatibility. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every website, preservation of local data, or error-free operation.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steady Reader is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Taylor Made SW LLC and its members, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for personal injury, death, property damage, loss of data, loss of profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use or inability to use Steady Reader, your actions or decisions while using it, your use while moving, your failure to follow safety warnings, or third-party websites and content.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability, warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that applicable law does not permit us to limit or exclude.
11. Ending use
You may stop using Steady Reader at any time. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the app, users, third parties, or legal rights. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations—will survive.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the law in your place of residence requires otherwise.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and changing the date above. Material changes will apply prospectively as required by law. Questions may be sent to [email protected]. Taylor Made SW LLC is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
